About Machahela National Park
It is located in the border zone with Turkey, about 30 km from Batumi. The park is located in the gorge of the river Machahela. In the park there are rare species of animals and plants, including: caucasian bee, brown bear, yew and chorokh oak.
The park is interesting not only by nature but also by weapons traditions of the region, which you can see in the village of Chkhutuneti.
